A weekend in Brittany

Carnac is the ideal spot to spend a weekend in Brittany. Mixing history, culture and relaxation, the coast is one of the sunniest in all Brittany, around 2000 hours a year. Admire the 4000 granite stones, standing on the moor, the most impressive concentration of megalith in the world!

Granite stones

This summer, the standing stones light up at night thanks to Skedanoz, a nocturnal magical show. Visit the Museum of Prehistory to learn more about the famous stones and finish this cultural morning.

Have lunch at the Anse du Pô to savour some oysters and take a stroll around oyster farming. In the afternoon, exert yourself with one of the many leisure activities available in the area, such as tree-climbing adventure or yoga paddle. Enjoy some relaxing time at the thalassotherapy center and lie on the white sand beaches for a great end to this amazing day, before taking off.

A week in Brittany

If you’re spending a week in Brittany, you won’t have time to be bored, considering the numerous tours, festivals and tasting you can attend to. In august, stop at Lorient and make the most of the Interceltic Festival, wonderful celebration of the Celtic nations combining music, dances, gastronomy and history. A week to vibrate to the sound of Breton bagpipes and Irish fiddles!

You also be able to go to the cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly. This sailing world will make you live an uncommon oceanic adventure.

Go back to Concarneau, city mixing history and arts, and explore the closed-city, from the 17th century, at the bottom of one of the most beautiful bay of Brittany! Stroll around the coast road until the beach Les Sables Blancs or talk a walk to the quayside and the fishing port and you may have the chance to witness the fishermen’s return, at night.

If you still have some time, put down your bags in Crozon and admire the beach of Morgat, one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, where you will be able to get a tan or play watersports, such as surfing or sailing.
