The World Breastfeeding Week begun this Monday and will end on Sunday the 18th of  October 2015.


What’s the World Breastfeeding Week?

The World Breastfeeding Week is organized since 1992 by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA). During this period, all of organization or people can support, protect and promote breastfeeding. This organization defends a simple principle: that nursing is a right for both women and children. It helps people to be conscious that the importance of the breastfeeding for child development.

Why to breastfeed ?

Firstly, the decision to breastfeed is a personal decision, that only mother can take. But beyond the nutrition, the breastfeeding strengthens the links between the baby and his mother; it is a moment of sharing.

It is recommended to breastfeed a child during 6 month, with no other food. It’s to ensure a good development, an optimal growth and a good health. The milk contains antibodies and provides the nutriments that are necessary for the babies.
